Privacy Policy
Viissue, Inc. (“Viissue,” “we,” or “us”) builds operational data software for businesses. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. It applies to our website and product.
Information we collect
Account information — your name, work email, company, and password when you create an account or contact us. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text.
Usage information — basic technical data (device, browser, and interaction logs) collected to operate and improve the service.
Cookies & similar technologies — we may use cookies or similar technologies for authentication, security, analytics, and product functionality.
Your data & hosting
The operational data your organization captures in the product — test sessions, vehicle data, and the like — belongs to your organization, not Viissue. Where it lives depends on your deployment:
Self-hosted — that data stays on your own infrastructure. Viissue does not receive or store it; we hold only the account information above.
Viissue-hosted — we store that data solely to provide the service, acting on your instructions as a processor under a data processing agreement where applicable.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your operational data for anything beyond providing the service.
How we use information
To provide, secure, and improve the product; to respond to your requests; and to communicate with you about your account or our services.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us run the product (under appropriate confidentiality terms), or when required by law.
Information may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate.
Website analytics & visitor identification
Our own measurement. On our video pages we record that a page was opened, whether playback started, roughly how far through it got, the referring site’s domain, and whether the device was a phone or a computer. To avoid counting one person twice, your browser stores a random identifier in its local storage; it is not linked to your name or any account, and clearing your site data removes it. We do not store your IP address alongside these records.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic. It sets cookies and processes your IP address. See Google’s privacy policy; you can opt out with Google’s browser add-on.
Visitor identification. We use RB2B, which uses your IP address and its own data sources to identify business visitors to our site — this can include the company you work for and, in some cases, an individual professional profile. We use it only to follow up on genuine business interest. To opt out, email us at the address below and we will suppress your information.
Links we send you. When we send a video directly to someone, the link may include a unique code so we can tell whether that recipient watched it. Removing everything after the ? in the address avoids this.
Security & retention
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. We retain information only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law.
Your choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information. Contact us using the details below and we’ll respond as required by applicable law.
Children’s privacy
Our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We may update this policy; we’ll revise the date above when we do.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
